Another AV conflict RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In addition to my previous AV question, this is another vendor, is this case I see something wierd, after I try to redirect the AV proxy I see a previous redirection record and the value: ((FWPS_CONNECT_REQUEST0*)(pRedirectData->pWritableLayerData))->localRedirectTargetPID is 0, is that normal? because in my WFP I check that value against my proxy PID and if it's the same, I don't redirect this connection.

In addition I get many 10045 errors for: SIO_SET_WFP_CONNECTION_REDIRECT_RECORDS, this is with or without 3rd party WFP.

  • What OS are you seeing this on?

It is perfectly acceptable for the localRedirectTargetPID to be 0.  This means they didn't redirect to a local service.

  • I solved the 10045 error, it was my mistake. About the AV I have another test to do and I'll come back with follow up details and questions.
