No, it is not possible.

Hi,
It is not possible because we have not been provided this facility from Microsoft side. If in future they add this type of snap view then you will be notify.
Since windows 8 apps are also in use in surface so multiple apps at a time is not a good scenario.

Hi RedRose,
Note that this thread and answer is correct for Windows 8.
Windows 8.1 doesn't have an explicit snapped view, but allows four app windows side-by-side on larger screens.
