where do i have to keep my WCF and Database? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi,

I am new to windows 8 app development so my question is a very basic question, right now i am developing a app for microsoft and i am hosting this app in Microsoft internal store so i can keep my WCF and database in one server (because it is inranet).

whereas if i host my app in windows public store. how can i provide data for my application ? and  where i keep my WCF and database? do i have to keep it in Azure (WCF+ Azure Database)

    For example :

In Hindu app they are pulling data from somewhere (may be their server). how did the make their server as public

    Thanks,

  • You can host it on any server reachable by the client system. Azure is one good possibility, but if you already have another web site you could use that.
