custom tags in open xml RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

i'm trying to open a word 2007 document, insert more custom tags to the 'document.xml' part and save it.

everything is working great until i try to open the modified document with the word application..

i get the following error message: "The Office Open XML file FILE_NAME cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents".

when i click the 'Details' button i see: "Unspecified error" and the location of the problem.

that location points to the first custom tag i added to the xml.

i use my own namespace for my custom tags (all of them have the same namespace), so all of my tags look something like this: <nitm:TAG_NAME>.

the first one (which generated the error) is: <nitmStick out tongueage>

i also this to the xml:

this internet url has nothing in it.

i have no idea what the problem is, i dont even know where to look for an answer..  can it be that i get that error because there's nothing in the url i'm putting in the xmlns reference?

    thanks a lot,
