Releasing an Alpha to our community on Xbox?

    Question

  • How do we make an alpha build available to people who want to help test our game on xbox one? We're not sure what best practice is for this. We aren't talking about a demo build and we aren't talking about exclusively to people who are paying for the full game ("early access").

    We usually involve our community early to get feedback and want to do that on the Xbox One platform. What are other developers doing? What are our options? What is successful?

    I'd love suggestions/feedback/opinions on the topic!

  • You could create a Package flight for your alpha release. I use a package flight to test all of my releases before I send a release to the general public. Check out this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/publish/package-flights
