Add a comment to a PowerPivot window column RRS feed

  • Question

  • This isn't really a question or discussion, but I wanted to make a suggestion, if this doesn't already exist.  As I'm new to working in PowerPivot, I'd love to leave comments in column headers within the PowerPivot window.  These would serve not only as breadcrumbs to myself as to why I'm doing certain things, but would aid my boss in learning how to use what I'm doing as well.  Maybe this already exists and I just don't know how to use it, but I don't see any documentation on it online or in the F1 help.  Thanks!

  • Hi,

Currently, it seem there is no space for us to give some comment for the column, to workaround the issue, you can create another table in the PowerPivot windows or Excel worksheet to list out the explaination about the columns. You can also hide them if you don't want the users see the fields when design the Pivottable or PivotChart.

    Thanks,
    Challen Fu
