MVVM in Windows Store App RRS feed

  • Question

  • I created a Views project and that compiles as expected.
I created a ViewModel project and added a link from my Views project to the ViewModel project, and that compiles as expected.
I created a Model project and added a link from my ViewModel project to the Model project, which results in the following error:

    1. Cannot resolve Assembly or Windows Metadata file "Model.dll"
    2. Type universe cannot resolve assembly: Model.dll, version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null

If I add a reference in the Views project to the Model project, the error goes away. Of course, the whole reason to use the design pattern goes out the window with it. The Views should only know about the ViewModel project, but never the Model project.

How do I modify so that the Views do not know about the Model project, AND the solution compiles?

    Thanks...

    Randy
