  • Hi Pandiyan,

According to your description, you need to know how master data service helpful for BI, right?

Here is a blog which describes:
BI is all about using the data in your organization to draw conclusions, but if different people are operating from different sets of data, then you can't come to any kind of consensus on what those decisions should be.
Microsoft Master Data Services can help solve that problem. Essentially, MDS is a set of features and services that "wrap around" an existing database.

  • MDS is useful in BI projects for maintaining and cleaning reference data.  For instance data may come in from multiple systems and be matched and augmented before being ready for reporting.  Or there may be data attributes that need to be maintained that don't reside in any source system.  MDS gives you an intermediate store to load and fix the data before it hits the reporting system (often a data warehouse).
