Flash live video streaming in asp.net 3.5

Please help me in how to you flash flv format video streaming [broadcast] using vdo camera in asp.net [c#] 3.5
i found flash media server 3 and flash encoder for streaming but couldn't understand for broadcasting.

I have worked with Adobe Flash Media Server (FMS) and Flash Media Encoder (FME), and successfully streamed audio/video content to a web page. I could help you with setting up the broadcast (encoder-side, server-side, website), however, everything you need on a website is an ordinary HTML page. It doesn't have to do anything with ASP.net / C#.

What exactly do you require?

Well M also want you to tell me how i setup flash media server and encoder for live broadcast and also video on demand using asp.net why i using server side script becose i need to maintain records of live shows and vod .. and users authentication just like you tube doing ..

Hello Guys !

 

All those wants to make YouTube in asp.net

1. Go to  www.ffmpeg.org have some basics about ffmpeg.exe or compile ffmpeg from Sourceforge, first option is better COZ compiling ffmpeg is bit tricky.

2. Use ffmpege in asp.net  : Refere to System.Diagnostics class 

and insert records into database

For broadcasting in flash video format I will recommend BlinkoTV. You can also do LIVE HD streaming which is a very nice option because it brings up to 20% more video quality.

Your project can do most of the things but its usign fmmpeg.exe for the purpose

Is it possible to work for live video / audio streaming using this

I m using windows media encoder right now for streaming. Its working on lan using pull method of encoder

but when push method its asking for publishing point and etc configuration which m unable to do

If possible please guide me for the same

 Hi Abby !

You need to see documentation for the problem you are facing. I do have problem first time i used WME on Windows server 2003.

But i suggest that you look at ffmpeg, Silverlight and WME and can select what is best  solution for you.

Let me know you server configurations  first.

Actually theere is no problem with the server configuration

i ll install whatever is required. There is won 2003 server, with dotnet, sql and window media server for this matter

the problem is that i m unable to configure the win media server configuration, like publishing point.

also i want to know abt the limitation of the windows media encoder when used for streaming live video.

Oe problem that i can see is that client should have windows media encoder for this, which i dont know how to fix so that there is no nesseccity of installing wm encoder on client pc.

If u ve any idea or suggestion pls pls pls
