How to drag and select pins on map? RRS feed

  • Question

  • As the topic indicates, I am trying to allow users to drag (ctrl click) and select a bunch of pushpins on the map. Then in the back end code, I would be able to access this collection of pushpins and do some work on them. Is this possible with Bing Maps?

  • Yes. You would need to use key up and key down events along with mouse click event. i.e. when ctrl key down enable a flag saying it is in edit mode. When key up disable flag. On mouse click, if flag enabled, store pushpin in array. Edit pushpin as needed. Alternativelly you could assign all pushpins a unique id property, then store these and look up all pushpins afterwards and edit as needed.
