Azure Storage question : Retention RRS feed

  • Question

  • Where can i specify the retention period of storage items ?

Is there a global setting or should that be configured for each storage item ( blob / queue / table / etc ? )

  • As of today, Retention period is not available for Azure Tables (or for Blobs and Files). You would need to roll something out of your own. One possible solution would be to write a background job (either as Web Job or Azure Function) that runs periodically and finds the entities that have been created before "x" days and delete those entities.
