.Net Framework Configuration (Publisher Membership Condition) ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I have about 10 dlls that contains windows forms which I launch through IE.

I have signed all my assemblies with a public key using verisign and created my own permission set and code group as "Publisher Membership Condition" and assigned the permissions that are required by my assemblies.

Now, some part of the applications work. Some throws exception of Security Permission and UI Permission Exception.

I've read thru many blogs and all recommend adding the declarative security at the class level. It is too late for my project as I have over 5000 files.

Per the documentation in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa302354.aspx it says, I can assign my set of permissions at the enterprise level and set the level final check box to not to evaluate under this level. And assign all my assemblies to share the same public key after signing and all that....

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • As you mentioned you are loading them through IE, are you getting the exception only on assemblies which are being loaded through IE. If yes check the IE settings, Browser might be stopping them to load.
