How to disable autostart of NET 4.5.2 installer after reboot completed of former 5100 return code ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I try to install NET 4.5.2 after Windows Update completes, which requires system reboot.

NET installer returns the error code of 5100, so I have to reboot the machine.

After reboot the NET installer start auto. How can I prevent NET installer to start automatically ?

(there is no Run / RunOnce set in registry)

  • Hello Sigmarsson,

The error 5100 means "The user's computer does not meet system requirements." according to MSDN

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee390831%28v=vs.110%29.aspx

Have you tried a clean reboot of your OS based on the following article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Or you can type msconfig in your "run" prompt and check the startup page to see if .NET installer is pending there.

    Regards,
