Storage Account Creation- Links are HTTPS not HTTP RRS feed

  • Question

  • For some reason when I create a new storage account it is creating the links with HTTPS for Blobs , Tables and Queues

I can not upload any VHDs

I have no idea what has caused this

The Blob, Tables , and Queues all are HTTPS

I have deleted the storage  account ten times

  • Hi Peter,

    >>For some reason when I create a new storage account it is creating the links with HTTPS for Blobs , Tables and Queues

Yes, when we create the storage account, Azure platform will auto create those endpoints.

    >>I can not upload any VHDs

    Three methods you can try:

    1.Powershell

You can use Add-AzureVhd. Please refer to this page(http://azure.microsoft.com/zh-cn/documentation/articles/virtual-machines-create-upload-vhd-windows-server/ ).

    2.using Azure rest API:

You could refer to how to upload the page blob(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/ee691975.aspx ).

    3.using some tool

Such as the Azure storage explore(https://azurestorageexplorer.codeplex.com/ ), you could directly upload file in this this tool.

    Please try it.

    Will

  • Many Thanks

Azure Storage Explorer works . The Add-AzureVHD  does not . Is there anyway to reset everything so I can start a fresh again

  • Hi Peter,

What's thing do you want to reset? Do you want to reset the storage information?  If use the PowerShell to set the storage account, you could see those methods:

    New-AzureStorageAccount

    Set-AzureStorageAccount

    Get-AzureStorageAccount

If you want to re-upload the VHD, you could begin it from login step.

  • Everything .

As  even if I add a new storage account, then the storage account still uses https ( not http) . I have removed everything apart from my default  azure AD domain . Yet every time I create a storage account  the URLs for the containers are HTTPS  not HTTP

    Any advice
