CLR Stored Procedure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to start a project to develop CLR stored procedures to be stored in a database.

I'm using Visual Studio 2012 Professional.  My programming language is C#.

The only template listed in the new project dialog box is to create a SQL Server database.

I did a search for C#, SQL, & CLR and the results are 'No items found.'

    Please, What can I do?

  • I'm facing the same issue, did you ever get a result to this?

  • Hi,

I do remember this.  It has been a while back.  I had just upgraded to Visual Studio 2012 Professional, and it was a lot different than Visual Studio 2008.  I wasn't finding the templates I was looking for.  My book was written for VS 2008.  I ended up getting the book for SQL 2012, and that explained to me what I was supposed to be doing.  The book that I bought that explained what I needed was:

Murach's SQL Server 2012 for developers.

I hope this helps.  I know how frustrating it can be at times.
