conversation.GetRootItems() returning 0 in some systems RRS feed

  • I am developing outlook addin in a system where conversation.GetRootItems() is returning 1.

    But the same outlook addin installed in other computer, is returning 0 for the same.

    What can be the error?

  • Are you looking at the same messages on both machines? Does Outlook itself thread the messages correctly? Were the messages received from a POP3 or IMAP4 server or an Exchange mailbox in the same domain?

    The GetRootItems method of the Conversation class has the following description in MSDN:

    If all items are deleted from the conversation after the Conversation object has been obtained, GetRootItems returns a SimpleItems collection with zero objects. In this case, the Count property of the SimpleItems collection returns 0.

    Is this the case?
