I have CR with a field which is with Currency Symbol as € but when I run the report the field displays £ sign and not € sign. It is a money field in the SQL2008 DB.

    Anyone any ideas?

You also need to check the browser language settings as well.  Note that while in many cases they call them "language settings", they're actually culture settings.

You mentioned that the column type is money.  Are you using an special formatting notation or just depending on the defaults?

    hi Macca,

You need to check the Regional Settings on your local System and make sure that the Euro currency is selected. The issue has nothing to do with your database.

It sounds like that the currency symbol is being determined by the computer settings as the user is likely using a computer in Great Britain and is defaulting to their configuration.

I have cheked the PCand both the app server and the DB server and the regional settings are all for Ireland and theefore should be €.

Am I missing something on the DB maybe?
