Reading signals from sound card RRS feed

  • Question

  • I need to know how I receive and interpret signals that come from the sound card.
For example: a signal with 20 miliVolts. I need to capture this value in VB express.
    Can someone help me?

  • You can generate sinewaves in the wave buffers of the sound card and measure the speaker outputs with a voltmeter.  Adjust the Wave and Master Volume to get the level you want and feed the signal into the Line In recording input.  Mute the Line In playback.  Measure the signal in the Line In buffers and adjust the volume to achieve the desired level.

  • Thanks John.
My professor tells me to look for DLL's capable of getting the signal intensity that came from the input of the sound card.
I need to make something like an osciloscope in VB...
Do you know a DLL like this?
