community license has expired

    Question

  • My Visual Studio Community 2015 License has expired. I have logged on to my Microsoft account with that annoying pop up.

I made the visual studio account. I still can't update my license. Any tips?

  • Hi communitylicenseexpired,

Do you get any error message when you update license failed? Please provide some screenshot about the failed message to help us understanding your problem better.

Please check your IE version on your machine, whether it is IE 11. If not, please upgrade it to IE 11 and then try sign in again.

If it is IE 11, please open following links in IE11 directly to check whether they are not trusted in IE 11. If can't open, please add them into trusted sites from Tools menu -> Internet options -> Security -> Trusted Sites.
