Fill the textboxes scenario RRS feed

    I have table with MANY columns.

    On the first page I am only showing a gridview with 10 of those fields. When the user selects a GV record, MANY(150) textboxes I created are to fill up showing the rest of the MANY coulmns/fields. What method do you approve of to fill those textboxes?

    Hi,

    I think a FormView with paging will be the better choice. You can create any custom layout to place these values in the ItemTemplate of FormView.

    Thanks,

    Would it be practical to format 150 textboxes in a template? Could they be aligned 4 across on the page?

    if you need the textboxes in a particular layout then within detailsview you could use Table to create your view:

    <table>

    <tr>

    <td>

    <edititemtemplate>

    ....your controls here

    </edititemtemlate>
