  • I am using virtual pc 2007, having windows server 2008 as a host and windows 7 as a guest o.s. how many processor is used by  guest os that is  by windows 7.  I have seen in vmware and virtual box  the number  of processor used by guest o.s is 1(still we can change the configuration).Each processor is   allocated separately for in case of vmware and virtual box.What is the case about the virtual pc 2007?

    pls let me know.

  • Just one processor core, that's all Virtual PC supports.

    I have intel core  i5 processor in my desktop computer. when I run multiple virtual machines  that is  windows xp, windows 7  and windows vista at the same time , so you mean only one processor is used   for all those guest operating system,is it right?or what else?

    Correct, one core for all those in total when running Virtual PC 2007.

  • Do a CMD & type

    wmic CPU get numberofcores, numberoflogicalprocessors

    You will get the count on any box after WIn XP.
