Unrecognized database format

Question

Hello

I am trying to recover an Access 2013 database .accdb for a friend whose hard drive crashed.  I have the file but I cannot open it with any of the methods I have found on Access forums or data recovery programs.  I get the error "Unrecognized database format".  The database was created in Access 2013 and I am trying to open it in Access 2013.

Am I (or my friend) out of luck?

Hi SuzeG,

I suggest you try to create a new database and then import Objects from existing database.
