Microsoft.Data.Services.dll and System.Data.Services.dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have just migrated many projects from VS2010 to VS2012. Building one project generates the following error:

    The type 'System.Data.Services.ProcessRequestArgs' exists in both 'c:\Users\...\packages\Microsoft.Data.Services.5.0.0\lib\net40\Microsoft.Data.Services.dll' and 'c:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.5\System.Data.Services.dll'

I can eliminate this error by removing System.Data.Services and System.Data.Services.Client from references, but it would result in many other errors.

Any tip to remedy this will be greatly appreciated.

  • Problem solved by removing System.Data.Services and System.Data.Services.Client, then addressing the consequent errors by replacing methods supported System.Data.Services with equivalents of Microsoft.Data.Services.
