  • Question

  • Hey Guys

I have a sheet (2018-19) that lists all my teams holidays - Names listed down in column A and the dates in row 3. then in the corresponding Cells I add either AL for leave, BH for bank holiday or HD for Half Day.

In another Tab (WoW) I have the week starting (Monday) listed down in column A and in column B , C, D I manually write the number of BH, AL and HD (respectively) each person has.

I wondered if there was a formula I could use to calculate this automatically for me ?.

      BH AL HD
    25/06/2018   Mani (4), Chris (5)
    02/07/2018
    09/07/2018     Dave (1)
    16/07/2018   Scott (1), Amy (3)
    23/07/2018
    30/07/2018
    06/08/2018
    13/08/2018
    20/08/2018
    27/08/2018 Dan (1), Pete (1)

    Thanks In advance,

    Tom

  • Hello Tom,

As far as I know, even we could use a formula to to this, the formula will be much complex and will take a lot memory to work. So I would suggest you try to use VBA code to do this work.

I would suggest you share a workbook with some simple date so we could use it to reproduce your issue and test our code.

For sharing documents, you could share it via cloud storage, such One Drive, and then put link address here.

    Thanks for understanding,

    Best Regards,

    Terry
