  • i installed WinRAR software in windows developer preview. But am not able to open pdf file ...

    what i need to do.......any body plz reply..

  • WinRAR is software to open zip files that are zipped with WinRAR software. To open PDF files , you would need Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you could download it from:


    If it asked for operating system, chose Windows 7.

  • That worked for me.

    I do hope MS provide a basic PDF reader for Metro in the beta, I find it annoying when opening a pdf in Metro IE to get throw over onto the desktop to view it (but this is a dev preview so I'll cut MS some slack).

  • You could read PDF files by downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe is different company and it could be good suggestion to pass to Adobe that develop metro style for Windows 8. It is early stage of Windows 8 development and I think Adobe would release a version for Windows 8 in near future, either during beta or once it been release.
