One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed in Info Path 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed because either:

    1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or

    2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, the page might not display correctly.

The above is the actual error message of Info Path 2010.

Description : I have downloaded the Microsoft VM limited version for demo purpose. On this(Downloaded) VM my ink controls are working fine. But when I created my own VM and install InfoPath 2010 I am having issues with this ink controls which I am going to use for signature capturing purpose. What I have found on downloaded VM has two references added which I have not found in my developed VM. Those two references I have found when I am adding ActiveX control through Add Custom Control Wizard. Those two controls name "Microsoft InkEdit Control" and "Microsoft InkPicture Control", which I have not found on my developed VM. Which I suppose that would be issue. Actually those controls are available in design mode but when I run the form it gives me an error about ActiveX control cannot run properly. Please help!

  • Hello Hassan,

Thanks for posting. Actually, in this forum, there is few specialists on InfoPath. Also I have not much knowledge on this topic and I am afraid that I have no any information which could share with you. So I recommend you could try to ask in Answer site. Although that site is for end-user issues, you also will find people knowledgeable in InfoPath programming issue. You will probably get more help there.
