Migrate from CDO to Exchange WES RRS feed

  • Question

  • My organisation have upgradet exchange to 2007 and the use of cdo mail via smpt have been closed.

I use windows XP, office 2003 and vba sending message programli from word documents. I do not use Outlook to send mail, because of the securety warning i got. Now i think have to use the web service in exchange. but i can not find a way to do it with VBA.

Is it possible? And where can i find a code sample?

    Thanks Callecib

  • You can still use VBA with the Outlook Object Model to send e-mails without generating a security prompt, as long as the macro is in Outlook and you derive your MailItem object from any other object that derives from the intrinsic Application object.  Otherwise, if this is a Word macro you have fewer options.  These would include using Redemption to bypass the prompts, or configuring a special form in a Public Folder to finely control the security prompts.
