Alert email: unable to get alert details RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Although the details of triggered alerts are visible in App Insights under alerts, when I click the button in the email I get a message stating 'Unable to get alert details'. I do have read permissions on monitoring data. Are alert details not available after the alert has been moved to 'Resolved' status?

    Apologize for the delay here. 

    When you click on Alert rule from the email, you get to see the rule definition page and not the actual instance of the alert. 

    Does your alert email look similar to this one? 

    And are you trying to click on View Rule or View Resource from this email, then you are basically looking for rule definition blade and not the particular alert activation details.
