Multi-camera streaming MS Surface tablet

    Question

  • Hi,

I have a store app in which the main focus is to stream multiple cameras simultaneously.  It works just fine on a desktop both local machine and simulator.  However, I haven't tried it on a Surface tablet yet but I'm not sure it's going to work.

I went to Staples to look at their demo surface tablets.  I found that in Surface Pro, two cameras showed up in the device manager; front and rear.  However, in the Surface RT device manager, only one camera was displayed.

Does this mean that on Surface Pro I may be able to get both cameras streaming but not Surface RT?  Or are they both going to fail?  Does anybody have experience with this?

  • The Surface RT has two cameras (front and rear). Your app should be able to use them simultaneously the same way it can on other two camera systems.

  • Did you manage to get it working on the Surface RT or Surface 2?
