Using RNDIS for PC - Device Communication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Everybody,

I am using RNDIS (USB Function) to communicate between PC and my device (with Windows Embedded Compact 7 onboard). When I plug in the device to the host PC, Windows (on PC) cannot find a driver for it, so I have to select Microsoft RNDIS driver manually in the Device Manager to make it work.

What can I do to make Windows install this driver automatically?

I have figured out, that my USB driver on the device side could export a Compatible ID? Am I right here? If yes, then how to do it? I do not wish to use ActiveSync (if that is important here).

    Please help!
