Restore the Production environment in Development environment. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We have shrepoint (MOSS 2007 SP2) in production environment  and development environment  (both with same configuration), and we want to refresh  data of a site collection from production to development.  We use the command line stsadm  to do it.  The resotre run well and all data is good.

But some workflow (Collect feed back ) are running in production,  after the restore in development , the shrepoint development send email to the user in production that Collect Feedback has completed .....

This will bring confusion to users who will receive e-mails.

Is there somthing  we can do ,  to avoid the development environment of sending these emails.

    Thanks
    Daniel

  • Hi,

Do you want to disable all outgoing emails in the dev enviornment?  You can go into Central Admin->Operations->Outgoing Email Settings.
If you want to do it just for a Web Application you can go into Central Admin->Appication Management->Web Application Outgoing E-mail Settings.

    Thanks,
