Have to reboot to get to other operating system and slow accessing the different apps

    Question

  • There are 2 things I dislike so far about the DP and 1 leads to my question The first thing I don't like is if you dual boot using 2 different hard drives then the computer must be rebooted again to use the other operating system.  The second thing is exiting the different apps and Windows altogether seems a bit time consuming and not so user friendly.  Now to my Question if I intend to keep both Win 7 and 8 after future releases of 8 are made available will there be a way to where you exit one OS and instead of rebooting to get to the other OS it just logs out to a "lobby screen" where you can access both OS at anytime?

That is true for all dual boot systems, regardless of what OS you have. To boot into the other OS you have to restart.

You can avoid rebooting by installing one in a virtual machine.

As for features of future Windows releases, it's wait and see.
