  • Press Ctrl+F9 to insert field braces { } (do not type { } yourself).

    Type IF followed by a space, then press Ctrl+F9 again.

    Inside the inner pair of braces, type the name of the bookmark of the dropdown.

    After the inner pair of braces, type ="Mr" "recrute" "recrutee"

    It should now look like this:

    { IF { dropdown1 }="Mr" "recrute" "recrutee" }

    Press F9 to hide the field code and to update the result.
