wct test client fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • After changing from windows authentication to sql authentication i get the below error message.  I am trying to return a collection.  Why would this start happening after I have changed the authentication type?

An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://localhost:8731/Design_Time_Addresses/WcfServiceLibrary3/Service1/. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.

  • Looks like an issue on the server that's causing it to fault instead of returnign a normal response.  I'm guessing that there's something wrong with the authentication info your service is using.  Turn on tracing in your service (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms733025.aspx) and examine the trace logs to see what the actual exception in the service is.  You might also check the application event log for relevant entries.
