Can we use EWS JAVA API for services and products RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am developing API for exchange server 2007/2010. I just want to know which approach is better. I have EWS JAVA 1.1 API and an option to use WSDL file which is under exchange server 2007/2010.

I found that using EWS JAVA API is simpler and an easy approach. Its some what tuff to understand the webservices and generate the stub and then using those stub to perform all basic operation.

Can we use EWS JAVA API to develop our own components in our products which can be used commercially .

  • I'd suggest you use whichever you find the easiest, which sounds like Java, in your case.

I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to develop commercial products with the API.  There would be little point in releasing it, if you couldn't.  Of course, I don't work for MS, so I can't be more than 99% sure of that.
