Accessing vb6 forms from a .Net form RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a large vb6 application that we are gradually converting to .Net. In the meantime, all new features are being done in .NET. We are using the Interop Library to manage this. Since there are many forms in vb6 that have not been converted, .net needs to call back to vb6 to show these forms and get the data.

The problem I have is when a .net form has to load and get data from a vb6 form. At first, I could not get the vb6 form to show but I found that by sending the .net form to back and bringing the vb6 form to front overcame that. (If there is a better way, please let me know.)  Now the problem that I have is that none of the events in the vb6 from fire. Not the form_load or any of the control events. The form calling vb6 is a .net dialog form that was called from a .net interop form that was called from vb6.

Is there a way to handle this?
