domain controller as dns in sharepoint 2010 farm RRS feed

  • Hi we have a plan for sharepoint 2010 medium farm  DMZ(uag->(2 web front,)) -->firewall-->internal network(search, app,database,w web front ends)

    since we going to be having the extranet sites as well as intranet..where wil the domain controller(as dns) reside in the above network will there be a different

    DC for internal and external network?

  • Hi,


    Firstly, you need to determine your SharePoint topology. If Web servers are split between the internal network and the perimeter network, ensure that DNS is configured with the appropriate records in each network zone to direct traffic to the intended Web servers.
