Cannot create placement RRS feed

  • Question

  • 1. https://developer.microsoft.com/dashboard/monetization/ads/?appId=

    2. Click 'Show options' on "Microsoft advertising ad units"

    3. Ad unit name "reward", type "Video interstitial", family "PC/Tablet"

"An error occurred. Please try again later."

I tried on 3 of our apps. We're about to release updated versions. If we could refer to the adunit (aka placement?) by name instead of generated id, we could ship our app then later create the ad unit. But it appears we need an ID that only exists after creating the ad unit, so I guess we can't use Microsoft ads.

  • Well, mostly figured it out. Something about the dev portal and/or pubcenter is fundamentally broken. I debugged the js call. There is clearly nothing I can do about this, so we'll be doing another release of the #1-rated game in the store with no ads.
