Permission to publish extension RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi !

I developped an Edge extension, reserved a name, created a submission, and requested a permission to publish my app several weeks ago, but had no return from Microsoft.

When I try to drag my appx package I get this error message "Package acceptance validation error: com.microsoft.edge.extension is a reserved extension type. Your app does not have permission to use this extension type. To request permission, please use our extension submission form: https://aka.ms/extension-request"

My StoreId is 9PKNSM02T2PW and the name of my application is AmarisPerfMan.

    What's wrong ?

  • Hello,

You could see this ariticle in their blog:https://blogs.windows.com/msedgedev/2017/09/29/microsoft-edge-extensions-one-year-later/#SD2htESbsQ5YWeEb.97.

Currently, they are prioritizing only the most popular extensions. They will relook at your extension at a future point in time. So you might need to wait some time.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
