Web-Site Logo Formats RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a logo in the .tif format - its very large and good quality.
can you please suggest, that if i reduce it size by 2/3 what is the best format to change it to for a website?
ie .gif / .jpg etc. Id like the best quality available for web as would like it to look clean.

  • .png (better imo) or .jpg optimized through the proper export from whatever app you're using be it Illustrator, Photoshop, Design, etc...

  • What Resolution?

OK... I emailed my designer to send me "Transparent png or just jpg"  format of the logo.  They replied back asking me what resolution....

  • The resolution is for you to decide, how big do you want it to be on the page? Also, this forum is for Expression Blend, did you mean to post this in the Expression Web forum?
