Call a function using function pointer(IntPtr) in .net compact framework RRS feed

  • Question

  • My application makes a call to GetProcAddress to obtain a function pointer in an IntPtr variable. How can I make a call to this function? In full .net framework, function pointer can be converted to delegate using “Marshal.GetDelegateForFunctionPointer”. This function is not available in .net compact framework L. Is there any work around in .net compact framework?

  • Hi,

Thanks for your post. According to here, GetProcAddress() is used to retrieve the address of an exported function or variable from the specified dynamic-link library (DLL). An IntPtr is nothing but a integer. What does your IntPtr stand for? If it is a HMODULE value, we could pass it to the GetProcAddress() through pinvoke. If this is specific to .net compact framework, please consider this forum as a better option.
