  • How do i work with ajax map control...
    i have to display shape file in my web pages.is it possible show it on ajax map control....
    if yes pls give me code for it...
    if no what control i can use for it

  • 1.) Go to http://www.microsoft.com/maps/isdk/ajax/
    2.) Select what you want to do from the left hand side.
    3.) Click on the "Source Code" tab to see how it's done.

    You can't import shapes directly from an ESRI shapefile - you'll have to write your own parser.

  • Just to add, parsing and directly reading in shapefiles into Bing Maps usually results in poor performance as ESRI Shapefiles usually contain a large number of points. Consider using something like SQL 2008 to store your data that way you can use spatial queries to reduce the amount of data you need to render on the map. Take a look at this tool: http://www.sharpgis.net/page/Shape2SQL.aspx
