Graphics diagnostics for debugging pixel shader on WinRT Component

  • Hi All,

    My project (Windows Store App by HTML5) just using Direct3D 11 for image processing in C++ WinRT component.

    As pure Direct3D C++ project template, it could debug for each frame got by hitting print screen button. 

    However, my problem is I cannot get the frame state (.vsglog file) when hitting print screen button. It shows "Unable to start the experiment session." And this occurs when the project debugger type was set as "Script only" .

    If I set the project debugger type as "Native only", I will got an exception when using Graphics start diagnostics. As shows "Unhandled exception at 0x0F2B39DF (VsGraphicsHelper.dll) in WWAHost.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000002D."

    So, is there any way to debug HLSL in WinRT component on my situation?

  • It can debug the shader state on Windows 8.1 & VS2013 update2 using Graphics Diagnostic.
