Error connecting Oracle SQL Developer( from asp.net RRS feed

    I am getting following error when i am connection to the database from asp.net application. I am using Oracle SQL Developer(

    Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException was caught

           at AZ.SamplingUILibrary.ModelObjects.DataAccessManager.OracleSelectDT(String sql) in C:\AZ\DesignSampleCentral3.5\SampleCentralUI\SamplingUILibrary\ModelObjects\DataAccessManager.cs:line 157

    DataAccessManager.cs is page where i have written connection stuffs

    public string OracleConnectString
                        string connectconfigString = MO.Constants.CONNECTIONSTRING_ORACLE + System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DBInstanceTarget"];
                        string connectString = System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[connectconfigString];
                        return connectString;

     private void Open()
                    if (con == null)
                        con = new Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnection(OracleConnectString);

    Can anyone tell me what may be the problem. Iguess this is not a version problem. I am using Oracle SQL Developer(

    seems problem is in connectionstring

    debug u r code and see what is the value of

    string connectString = System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.AppSettings[connectconfigString];

    the oracle sql developer u r using is just a tool... it has nothing to do with actual database... what is the version of Oacle database u r using

    like 9i, 10, 11 etc.?

    check ur connectconfigString value and also check connectString  both are not null
