How to use a customized category color? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, Friends,

    I was asked to set category color of a special group of emails to a customized color with RGB values. However, OlColor only provides a list of predefined colors. Is there any way that I can create my own color with RGB values and set the category color to it?

    namespace Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook

    {

        //

        // Summary:

        //     Constants representing colors.

        public enum OlColor

        {

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Color is based on OS preferences

            olAutoColor = 0,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Black

            olColorBlack = 1,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Maroon

            olColorMaroon = 2,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Green

            olColorGreen = 3,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Olive

            olColorOlive = 4,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Navy

            olColorNavy = 5,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Purple

            olColorPurple = 6,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Teal

            olColorTeal = 7,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Gray

            olColorGray = 8,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Silver

            olColorSilver = 9,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Red

            olColorRed = 10,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Lime

            olColorLime = 11,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Yellow

            olColorYellow = 12,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Blue

            olColorBlue = 13,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Fuschsia

            olColorFuchsia = 14,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     Aqua

            olColorAqua = 15,

            //

            // Summary:

            //     White

            olColorWhite = 16

        }

    }

    Thanks a lot.
