SQL Azure Data Sync timeout when Refresh schema in Sync Rules RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I have an on-premises database in an Azure Virtual Machine with SQL Server. I am trying to synchronize it with a SQLAzure database, I installed the sync agent in the virtual machine and it is working, I created the sync group but when I try to Refresh Schema the page informs that there is something processing but there is no round circles moving in the center of the screen.

After many hours this is not finishing nor presenting anything, I have 673 tables in the database from several schemas, but I am not able to choose from the list wich of them replicate because this process never ends.

    Would you help me?

  • script out the tables that you want to sync, put them in an empty database, add the database to sync group, refresh schema from that database.

btw, you can only have 100 tables max per sync group...
