System Center Configuration Manager(SCCM) 2012 R2 programming with Visual Studio 2015

    Question

  • Hi All,

I want to know that can we do the System Center Configuration Manager(SCCM) 2012 R2 or System Center Operation Manager(SCOM) programming with Visual Studio 2015? I am asking this because in the below given link the IDE is only: VS 2008/ 2010.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh329057.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Is SCCM or SCOM programming only support VS 2008/10 with .NET framework 3.5/4.0 only, not the updated versions?

  • Hi RakeshYadav,

According to the following latest MSDN document, Visual Studio 2010 provides a suitable environment for developing Configuration Manager applications and scripts. I suggest you had better use VS2010 to use Configuration Manager SDK.
