Taskbar toolbars in touch interface

  • In Windows 8 (and earlier Windows versions also), if you right click on the taskbar and select "Toolbars" then you can activate the Desktop toolbar or create custom ones (can you spell Start Menu?) by selecting "New Toolbar" and browsing to a folder. When you click an activated toolbar, it should display as a cascading menu like the XP Start menu.
This works fine in the mouse interface of Windows 8, but not in the touch interface. Actually, I do not (yet) have a real touch device, but in the Metro emulator in touch mode the first level menu displays, but the items in it are non-functional.
Does anybody see this with a real touch device?
