How to decode a ASN.1 OCTET STRING in c#? RRS feed

  • Please provide an example of the input and output. I think most people (including me) don't know what an "ASN.1 OCTET STRING" is...

    This best way to do this is to use an ASN.1 Compiler that will generate an decoder for you.

    If you just want to see a one time result rather than writing code to decode the OCTET STRING, go to (ASN.1 Playground) and enter your ASN.1 specification there along with the data you would like to decode.

    If you need an ASN.1 Tool, there is a good list (some free, some commercial) at the URL:
