WDS Reporting RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI,

Recently, we started using Windows 7 Enterprise x86 at our organisation. We've setup a server with WDS and created images so that we could PXE boot systems and install over the network, however, we seem to have a discrepancy with the amount of installations done vs the amount of installations recorded on a form we have to track usage, as not all the techs are entering the required data. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to configure a report in WDS so that it could show the total number of installations done, the computers that the installation were deployed to (possibly the MAC address or some other type of identifier), and any other type of information that may be needed to create the report. Hope that I'm clear enough. Thanks in advance. Also I don't know if I'm posting in the correct forum, the options are a bit confusing, sorry if I'm not.

  • Hi Darrelle,

If you can configure the report programmatically, you can write a custom action to do that:

Let me know if this does not help.
